Excellence in Healthcare Education

Excellence in Healthcare Education is designed to help the clinical preceptor and academic instructor improve skills in teaching, coaching, mentoring, communicating, and evaluating students/staff. This conference provides critical information and tools needed to facilitate the teaching and learning process.

· Gain skills for diagnosing and treating learner challenges
· Define clinical competence, professionalism, attitude, and skilled communication
· Learn how to provide constructive, professional feedback and assign grades to students in clinical

Blue Ridge Area Health Education Center is a non-profit regional health education center based in Rome, Georgia. The mission of Blue Ridge AHEC is to increase the supply, distribution and education of health professionals in Northwest Georgia. We accomplish this goal by providing hands-on health careers education and opportunities for students K-College, assist health professions students in finding and completing required clinical rotations, and providing healthcare professionals with the education they need to stay current and up to date in their practice.
